Renewable Energy Technician
Mid-State Technical College
The only program of its kind in the Wisconsin Technical College System, Mid-State s Renewable Energy Technician program prepares students to design an integrated portfolio of renewable and traditional energy-producing systems. Graduates develop a working knowledge of green building concepts and energy-efficient design principles as well as the foundation needed for an entry-level position in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) fields. In this program you ll learn to perform site assessments and recommend appropriate renewable energy technologies, sell and market renewable energy technologies, and manage renewable energy installation projects. The Renewable Energy Technician Associate degree has two embedded technical diplomas: Construction Trades and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. Also, students that complete the Associate Degree have transfer opportunities into a bachelor degree with a four-year partner.

Mid-State aims to offer several approaches to tutoring to ensure that students have options that fit their learning needs including lab-based, one-one-one, group, and online. Tutoring services are no cost to currently enrolled students.

Refunds are issued per the official refund schedule available at any Student Services Information Center. Refund amounts are determined by the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Refund Policy and federal financial aid regulations. Refunds will be issued to the student unless a documented third-party sponsorship or contract exists. In such cases the refund will be returned to the sponsor or contracting party.
